Jaundice

- Hepatomegaly is a state of the liver in which the liver is enlarged or swollen to its normal extent which is caused by various factors including liver cirrhosis, fatty liver, dengue, and malaria.
- It is usually harmless or painless but can create discomfort after some time condition where excess fat is accumulated on your liver resulting in the hampered function of the liver is termed as fatty liver.

Liver Cirrhosis
- When Healthy tissues of your liver are replaced by scar tissue or dead cells, it is termed liver cirrhosis.
- Liver damage is caused by various reasons most likely due to Hepatitis infections, NAFLD, and Alcohol.
- Liver cirrhosis is a fatal condition that is life-threatening and needs immediate treatment.
Hepatitis
- It is a very serious & lethal infection in the liver caused by hepatitis b (HBV) or Hepatitis C (HCV) Virus which can transform into liver damage in a very short period of time if left untreated.
- Prolonged infection turns into liver cirrhosis & ascites
Budd Chiari syndrome
- When hepatic veins are blocked by blood clots completely or partially is termed as Budd-Chiari syndrome.
- Due to the Blockage of the hepatic vein fluids gets accumulated in the peritoneal cavity with enlargement of the liver
